if fx. im on desktop2, and run 3ddesk, it copies the
screen of the current (desktop2) to the first
3d-desktop-image, which is always desktop1.
This could probably be solved by letting the 3dmodel
start on the current desktop...

I'm curious if my situation has anything to do with this.
I use nVidia's twin view because I have dual monitors. Usually, because I have the xinerama use flag set (I run gentoo), programs that have 'fullscreen' modes usually don't take up both monitors (thus distorting the picture) when I maximize them. They'll usually just be pretty good about sticking to monitor 1 or the monitor the program was on when I told it to go fullscreen.
3ddesktop still slaps itself squarely in between my two monitors, half on one side, half on the other. Is this a bug? Or is there any kind of workaround? I tried setting screen_width and screen_height to 1280 and 1024 respectively, but it's like those values aren't changing anything. (I copied the configuratin file to ~/.3ddesktop/3ddesktop.conf and even tried changing those numbers to 640x480 also but noticed no change) (I also changed the depth setting for the default view: first to 20, then to 5, then to 500...and notice no difference in the distance back it zoomed out when i ran '3ddesk --acquire' I don't know if this is the place to be asking questions, but if anyone could help...you can email me: andrew at endusegroup dot com.
