#10 X is laggy when 3ddeskd is running...

Hi there,

Congrats for the kewl desktop pager !
but sadly I can't use atm, when the daemon is loaded,
my whole X system became uber slow (ie. when I type
"killall 3ddeskd" in a term, it takes a few secs for
the letters to appear)...

I guess that it's not an hardware pbm as I am running a
1.8Ghz CPU with 1Gb of ram and an ATI Radeon 9600 (ie.
GLXgears runs at over 1300 FPS :)

Could it be due to the fact that I am using fluxbox ???
(cf. the patch that u provide). but don't think so as
the pager itself seems to work fine. Or maybe does it
require some special kernel features (preemptible
kernel)...

DOn't know but any idea to solve the problem would be
welcome...

oh and I forgot 2 small other things:
- renice doesn't help (priotity 19 / nice 19)
- when 3ddesk is launched from a dockapp (by double
clicking) it seems that the mouse stay focused on the
desktop... (click left / right highlights text in my terms
while I am in the GL pager :)

i am having a similar problem: every time it takes a
screenshot, x lags for a few moments, and it's really annoying.

it behaves similarly when I take a screenshot using import.

I had the same problem in version 0.2.8 and it seems as if
it got fixed with 0.2.9. (using Gentoo and Openbox)
