Other user here. I've now tried this thing on several different PCs (with different Windows versions) too. And for me, it always worked as expected on all machines. I suspect, the problem is due to some setting, either in the Denise version it occurs, or something in the operating system of this one PC, where it occurs. Only a guess however, but it does point in that direction.

Whatever the problem is, it is highly unlikely to be an emulator problem, since only the OS decides whether an APP is authorized to write to a specific folder.

That works for me. Does the emulator crash, or does no image appear in that folder? The emulator might not have write permissions to that folder.
No image appears until I reset to default. There is no crash. Any idea on allowing or checking write permission?
when your current (logged in) Windows user can write to this folder, then Denise should it too.
Strange that I have Denise on a separate HD, and it screenshots to the Denise folder. But not to Windows drive.
New PC and the issue is not replicated.

Probably due to the PC being out of date and botched with Windows 11.
