Dear Symbolic Systems Program students and those who have expressed an interest in Deme (formerly known as "POD"), This Wednesday, February 8, from 5-6 pm in 460-127B, SSP students Brendan O'Connor, Aaron Tam, and Ben Newman will join me in an informal practice run-through of our upcoming presentation planned for CodeCon 2006 next weekend (www.codecon.org). We will be demonstrating the new, not-yet-released version of Deme (pronounced: deem), a free/open source web platform for online group deliberation and dialogue (see www.groupspace.org). Three previous SSP graduates (Mic Mylin, Alex Cochran, and Andrew Parker) have worked on Deme since the project started in 2003. If you are over 21, you can join us at the conference itself this coming Friday-Sunday. The talk this Wednesday at 5 is in Building 460, Room 127B, which is in the Linguistics Department office cluster, first floor of Margaret Jacks Hall (http://campus-map.stanford.edu/index.cfm?ID=01-460). If you are coming from off campus, you can park for free in the Oval after 4 pm. Todd Todd Davies *** email: da...@cs...
