Hi, After all, congratulations by this project. I will use it in my college wor= k for create one toolkit for games with vetorial graphics. I have few problems/questions! I hope that you can help me! =3D] 1=BA the import in the XPathTool class is wrong, i think! Because the XPath= API class i found in com.sun.org.apache.xpath.internal.XPathAPI package, not in the org.apache.xpath.XPathAPI package. The same occours with XObject. 2=BA I can't starts the Delineate by delineate.bat: * The correct is %JAVA_HOME%/bin/java -jar delineate.jar, not %JAVA_HOME%/bin/javaw -jar delineate.jar * The parameters ./settings/parameters-autotrace.xml./settings/parameter= s- potrace.xml i change to the full path for work, but the program not start correctly, it say me that not can open the archive Sorry for my poor english! I brazilian, and i learn yet! =3D] Thanks you for the attention! |

Is this list active? I notice that no release has been made since about
a year ago.
Anyway, I installed delineate in linux, and it worked fine as long as I
put all the files in my user's directory (though I would much rather
have prefered a sodipodi autotrace plugin that worked for gnome2).
The issue is that I couldn't quite get it to work correctly in a more
typical linux installation, perhaps:
all files: /usr/local/delineate/*
link to delineate.sh in /usr/local/bin/delineate
settings in /etc/delineate (or if personal settings in ~/.delineate/)
I tried making some of these changes, but I ran into the fact that the
path "/settings/" is hardoded in the java files. Even changing that (to
"~/.delineate") didn't work, I'm assuming because java can't understand
what to do with the ~ or something like that. I get a bunch of the
following exceptions:

The file, of course, exists, as can be seen by:
ls ~/.delineate/settings.prop
/home/roberto/.delineate/settings.prop
Any ideas?
Thanks for the software, it works very well otherwise.

Hello, I'm using Windows XP - Service Pack 2 and I got delineate running. Follow these steps and it should work. I installed just now delinate on a new pc following these instructions... Java J2SE 1.4.2 http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html - Download the Java(TM) 2 SDK, Standard Edition 1.4.2_06 - run the exe-file - Now set your JAVA_HOME environment variable to the location where you have Java installed. In Windows XP you can add this environment variable by going to: -> Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Environment Variables Click the New button: - enter the variable name as JAVA_HOME, and - enter the variable value as the location where Java is installed, for example: c:\Progs\Java\j2re1.4.2_01 +++ IMPORTANT +++ Now Restart your Computer!!! +++ IMPORTANT +++ AutoTrace 0.31 http://autotrace.sourceforge.net/ - Extract autotrace to e.g. c:\progs\autotrace > All files of autotrace (*.dll, *.exe) are now in this directory. - Check if autotrace is working: At the prompt: - Change to the directory: cd c:\progs\autotrace - Copy a picture into the directory (here 02.jpg) - run autotrace.exe 02.jpg - after a while you can read %%EOF, so it works (I don't know, why there is no aoutput file!?!) potrace 1.5 http://potrace.sourceforge.net/ - Extract potrace to e.g. c:\progs\potrace > All files of potrace (*.dll, *.exe) are now in this directory. - Set the path to c:\progs\potrace alternatively copy potrace.exe, mkbitmap.exe and cygwin1.dll to c:\windows delineate - Extract delineate e.g.to c:\progs\delineate - You can find a directory 0.5 in c:\progs\delineate -> At leatst change to the bin-directory: cd c:\progs\delineate\0.5 and run the program: delineate.bat If it isn't working: Check and change your directory-names: avoid characters like . , or <space> etc. Use max 8 characters per name. If you're changing the names, think on the variable for JAVA_HOME. All this information you can find at http://delineate.sourceforge.net/ Regards, Markus |

Hi all, I downloaded and installed autotrace and potrace. I have tested both of them and they are working. I downloaded delineate0.5 and follow all the instructions under the install.txt, but when I run the bat, I get the message that could not find c:\ (or whatever root directory where I have delineate0.5 in). Could someone help me? Thanks, Alice |

Hello all, I have downloaded and installed potrace, autotrace (not sure if it is installed there is no info on how to install). When I run the delineate.bat, I get the message saying Invalid switch - "/bin" Any ideas on what should I do? I have created the JAVA_HOME variable as well.
