i know that this hasn't been dscaler's thing in the
past but...

i have a 5.1 soundcard that will not automatically
direct 2 channel sound to 5.1 .............winamp among
many other media players will (with the dshow output or
thier own surround sound emulation) will pass these
channels on to the soundcard as least doubleing the
stereo channels and some plugins encode in dolby
prologic....and of course my tv (stb2 software decoder)
card is only in stereo

if dscasler5 did this i would never use another media
player for video
