While wxPython is not yet compatible with Python 3.0, I am currently working on a new release with support for wxPython 3.0. Currently, everything works except a bug that causes the final package to not be built.
It's a little unorganized at the moment, but I am currently working on the 'unstable' branch. Once it's working as intended, I will move it over to 'master'.

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to update Debreate for a while. I'd like to make it compatible with the newer python v3 and WX v3.0.
For now, it is possible to get it working by adding the Wily repository to your sources:
That will satisfy the python-wxgtk2.8 dependency. Though, I haven't thoroughly tested it to make sure everything works correctly.

The source code has been forked over to GitHub: https://github.com/AntumDeluge/debreate/

Development versions are now compatible with wx3.0/Linux Mint 18 & ready for 0.8.0 release.
