#53 don't know where to start with opendns

I read about OpenDNS on the site after reading an enthusiastic review in a magazine. However, I understood only a small part of the site. I thought I succeeded in loading it on my machine, but now I can't tell if it's running.

I was led to believe that it is not just for Ubuntu programmers, but that typical business users can also benefit from it. However, at the point I tried to load the "ddclient" component it became obvious that the instructions were intended for technicians.

Is this in fact useful for ordinary business users? If so, are there any instructions geared to us?
