Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4325742 By: bidevi OS: openSUSE 10.2 ddclient: version 3.7.1 Obviously I did something right when installing ddclient, because when I startup the computer and ask for: /etc/init.d/ddclient status the reply is: ddclient (pid 2430) is running. When I type: /etc/init.d/ddclient stop I get: Shutting down ddclient: ddclient is not running Then I type: /etc/init.d/ddclient start and I get: Starting ddclient Next: /etc/init.d/ddclient status reply: ddclient is stopped Same result after su. I restart the computer /etc/init.d/ddclient status reply: ddclient (pid 2438) is running So I can start ddclient at boot-up, stop it in terminal, but not restart it. What could be wrong?
