[Ddclient-support] Ping after IP update

Hello,

I am using ddclient to make update my IP DDNS (www.dyndns.org) and is 
functioning well: immediately afterwards the command “host <name>” 
returns the current IP correctly, but “ping <name>” is returning an 
old IP (not same of host command), despite waits the entire day. In 
Windows XP ping returns the new IP soon after update in dyndns. What 
it can be happening in the Linux? (Mandriva 2007)
