Are you using the package provided by ubuntu or are you did really downloaded
the tar file from the ddclient website.  Could you post your complete configuration
with password replaced by something like password?  Post the result of `ddclient
-daemon=0 -debug -verbose -noquiet` on http://ddclient.pastebin.co.uk/
