Unfortunately the problem is not linked to nscd for me because nscd is stopped on my machine. My ifup-ppp script is already modified to restart the ddclient when the connection is up, but it does not solve completely the problem if we suppose the Internet connection stays up and the DNS are unreachable for a short time or if the members.dydns.org server is down for a short time ...
