hm, sorry, I've been to fast sending my message.
Ddclient forces an update every 15days by default, depending on the maxinterval
setting. One of my connections is pretty stable to, and the maxinterval works
pretty fine for me. I check my router every 5 minutes for a changed WAN IP
and if it's changed or the max interval is passed, ddclient tries to update.
Dyndns reponds by a "nochg" answer if you tried to update with the same IP but
the last changed date is updated in the dyndns database.
Your success aswer is pretty correct. Dyndns mentions that you didn't change
your IP but that doesn't matter.
Just to be complete: next release of ddclient will have a more correct interval
of 30days which is between the recommendations of ddclient (between 25 and 35
days).
