Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4140143 By: evinzor I'm using ddclient to automatically update my DynDNS account dynamic ip. I have found that ddclient does not take into account the 35 day idle time limit DynDNS has on its dynamic ips. I came back from holiday yesterday only to discover that my dyndns account had been closed 4 days earlier. I guess that's the downside of having a really stable connection... Is there a way to force ddclient to update the IP, even if no change is necessary? I tried making a monthly cron job that calls ddclient with -force but apparently that doesn't force the update either since the web service itself reports the same ip as ddclient is trying to set and ddclient just goes all: SUCCESS: updating evinyatar.ath.cx: nochg: No update required; unnecessary attempts to change to the current address are considered abusive Any ideas? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum.
