Hi,

I wish to send the following email to
ddclient-support:

I am using dynamic dns provided by namecheap.
>From their faq, i notice from the relevant url:
http://dynamicdns.park-your-domain.com/update?host=host_name&domain=domain.com&password=domain_password[&ip=your_ip]

that the unique information is:
 - host_name
 - domain.com
 - domain_password
 - (and optional ip address)

i am using ddclient which suggests the following setup
for its configuration file:
## NameCheap (namecheap.com)
##
# protocol=namecheap,                           \
# server=dynamicdns.park-your-domain.com,       \
# login=my-namecheap.com-login,                 \
# password=my-namecheap.com-password            \
# myhost.namecheap.com

my questions are:
- do you require the namecheap login to be posted in
the ddclient request?
- what is host_name, and how is it relevant to the
dynamic DNS?

my current config is as below: 
daemon=300
protocol=namecheap
server=dynamicdns.park-your-domain.com
login=**my_login**
password=**my_password**
robdartnell.com

as you can see, i simply specified the domain and left
out the host_name.

Any help would be appreciated.
