The best way to make ddclient checks the ip every 15 minutes is by running it
as a deamon:
ddclient -daemon 900
It will automatically check your ip every 900 second and update if it's necessary.
Ddclient finds it necessary if the IP is changed compared to its cache or if
the last update was more than 25 days ago.  Max-interval is set to 25 days to
be conform to the dyndns recommendations.
