[Ddclient-support] unable to find the ip address

Hi

Whatever I do I cannot get the ip address.

use=if, if=etho (returns local net ip address and will not connect to update)
use=if, if=ppp0 (reports <undefined>)

If I log into the adsl router it does show the correct ip address so it is there.

It used to work, then we had issues with the machine which revolved around permissions.
Could this be a permissions issue somehow?

Otherwise the ddclient.conf file seems correct and normal.

 syslog=yes
 cache=/tmp/ddclient.cache
 pid=/var/run/ddclient.pid
 protocol=dyndns2
 use=if, if=eth0
 server=update.activedns.co.za
