Swenson () Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Use iproute2 instead of ifconfig Initial Comment: On Gentoo Hardened (possibly other hardened distros as well), ifconfig cannot be utilized for fetching the IP address of the NIC. iproute2, on the other hand, has no such issue. Attached is the patch we're using to have ddclient use iproute2 instead of ifconfig.
