Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Reuben Thomas (rrt) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Time for a release? Initial Comment: Is it time to make a new release? It has been a long time since the last one, and to give just two examples, there is useful new functionality such as freedns protocol support, and on the other hand the documentation still talks about hn.org, which was taken offline years ago. Given that dyndns.org recently stopped supporting more than two addresses per free account, I suspect quite a lot of users will, like me, be looking for new services, and hence explore more of the options offered by ddclient. For now, it seems I have to use inadyn instead if I want to have an afraid.org client that works out of the box in Ubuntu, which is a pity, as I have been happy with ddclient for years. So, in short, thanks for your hard work, and please show what you have been up to for the last two years! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: wimpunk (wimpunk) Date: 2011-05-27 07:32 Message: yes it is time to release, but currently there is an issue with the dual interface introduced in 3.8.0 which hasn't been fixed yet. See https://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/ddclient/ticket/14 for more details. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=676131&aid=3307759&group_id=116817 |
