If you IP didn\'t changed, it doesn\'t say anything.  If you use the syslog option you will find a notice in syslog about a correct  or failed update.  Using the mail feature of ddclient, you should a mail about a successful update.  Maybe you could try the verbose option to  force ddclient to say at least something.
