Initial Comment:
This patch implements DynDNS service for EditDNS (www.editdns.net). No external libraries are required.

The EditDNS server does not support SSL so the patch currently disables SSL before making its request and then restores it afterwords. As far as I could tell SSL is global and not specific to services.
