Thanks to mikejj mainly, the transition to gettext is done as far as the source is concerned...
What remains is to make a script that takes an xml file and creates a po file...I've started playing
around with such a script that should be ready tomorrow, then we'll see how to proceed with the
actual translations...nice work and thanks to all who contributed, both code- and discussionwise =)
