12-27 October 2023, Aveiro, Portugal.
Call for Tutorial Proposals
-----------------------------------
IEEE 9th World Forum on Internet of Things (IEEE WF-IoT 2023) is the
premier event of IEEE IoT Technical Community (a Multiple Society
Initiative aggregating the wide expertise inherent to the IoT domain) to be
held in Aveiro, Portugal during 12-27 October 2023. Tutorials will be held
as "Virtual Live Online Sessions" during 12-13 October 2023. The IEEE
WF-IoT 2023 solicits Tutorials proposals that complement the regular
program with clear and focused coverage in new and emerging topics within
the scope of the conference. The theme for World Forum IoT 2023 is "The
Blue Planet: A Marriage of Sea and Space". WF-IoT Tutorials enable the
researchers, developers and practitioners from academia and industry to
learn about state-of-the-art research and best practices. Proposals should
concisely describe the motivation, the content and the structure of the
tutorial. Tutorials should be either 2 hours (single session), or 4 hours
(two sessions) duration. Revised and updated proposals are necessary for
the previous submitted tutorial proposals.
IEEE World Forum on the Internet of Things (WF-IoT 2023) seeks tutorials
proposal submissions that address but are not limited to the following
topics:
• Artificial Intelligence (ML, ANN) and Computational Intelligence in
IoT
• Data Acquisition, Data Analytics, Big Data, Storage Management,
Data Curation, and Data Management for IoT
• Signal Processing, Communications, Networking and Computing
Platforms for IoT (Embedded, Edge, Cloud, High Performance Computing)
• 5G and 6G Communications, Connectivity and Networking for IoT
• 5G and 6G Vehicular Technology, Connected Vehicles and Intelligent
Vehicles for IoT
• IoT Design, System Interfaces, Integration and Testing Methods
• IoT in Automation, Autonomy, Robotics
• IoT Enabling Technologies, RFID, Sensor and Actuators, Distributed
Sensor Networks and Space Based Sensors
• IoT Programming Models, Middleware and System Architectures
• IoT Experimental Results and Deployment Scenarios
• Experiences from Development of IoT Solutions (Ideation, Design,
Development, Implementation, Operation, and Sustainment)
• IoT Platforms, Frameworks, Distributed Systems, Industry 4.0,
Precision Agriculture, Digital Twins
• IoT Applications and Services (Robotics, Drones, Manufacturing,
Supply Chains, Smart Homes, Healthcare, Smart Cities)
• Multimedia, Societal Impacts, Energy Harvesting, Sustainability,
Environment, Climate Change for IoT
• Security, Privacy and Trust for IoT – Cybersecurity, Software
Supply Chains, Physical Security
Proposal Format

Tutorial proposals (4 pages maximum) in PDF format (Column: Single, Font:
Times Roman, Size: 11 pt) should be submitted by the prospective Tutorial
Speaker (s). Tutorial proposal submission must include the following:
• Title of Tutorial
• Name, Institutional Affiliation, Location and E-mail of Tutorial
Speaker(s)
• Abstract (200 words)
• Key Words that are descriptive of the Tutorial
• Description of the Tutorial Proposal
o Objectives and motivation
o Novelty, highlighting the technical innovations presented in this
tutorial
o Tutorial content, indicating the topics that the tutorial will cover in
detail
o Tentative timeline schedule
• Tutorial Length: 2 hrs or 4 hrs
• Intended audience
• Prior history of the tutorial presentations and number of past
attendees, if applicable
• Short biography (half page or 250 words) of Tutorial Speaker(s) and a
recent high resolution headshot photograph in JPEG format

Tutorial proposals in the PDF format given above to be submitted in Link
for submissions, eWorks in https://wfiot2023.iot.ieee.org/authors. A unique
Proposal ID number (PID) will be issued upon completion of your submission.
Please retain a record of the number as it will be used for the
notification. Email address of Tutorial Co-Chairs is given below.
