This and other dlls are needed to connect to RDMS.
In the fabForce version they are included but in the copyright part of the documentation an explicit clause is given to use this dlls.
You can copy theme from there and connection is working but I am not sure if this is correct concerning the licence of this fork. This has to be clarified by the developers of this fork.
Using this fork only for building ER-Models and exporting images or SQL code does not need this dlls as far as I can see.

When attempting to open from database and selecting an MSSQL database connection the error message:
Connection to database failed. Unable to Load dbexpmss.dll
Research on the net suggests that this is an out of date Borland Database Engine driver for connecting to MSSql. Please post a link to download the driver from a reliable resource.
Thanks

The license addendum of the original DBDesigner 4 clearly states that derivations may use the connection libraries at their discretion. As that addendum has been copied into the fork and actually made it into the 1.2 release it should be perfectly fine to use the libs from the original DBDesigner 4 archive.
Additionally, I don't see any reason for omitting these libraries in the fork's release archives and hereby plea for their distribution within this project starting with the very next release of DBDesigner fork.
Best regards,
Olfan
