you might also try using rufus.ie to format a bootable usb drive and with rufus, it does allow you to select which mode to run it in (BIOS or UEFI)
So download DBAN, save as to computer files
Visitn https://rufus.ie/ and scroll down about half way
Select USB PORTABLE
Save and Run this program
A pop-up box will appear for rufus, select your specific USB Drive as the device you inend to use
select ISO image and then open up the file that you downloaded from DBAN
Then you will select your specific target system, whether it be BIOS or UEFI
Hope this helps, i run from BIOS so i'm just guessing on this one.

None of these options appear to be available to me. When I run Rufus and select the DBAN iso, the file system format is FAT32 (only option) , Target is BIOS (or UEFI-CMS) with no option for pure UEFI and Partition scheme is MBR only, no opton for GPT. I am running on a SurfaceBook 2.0

Or download ShredOS 2020.02 instead. It runs nwipe which is like DBAN/dwipe but runs on modern hardware. it's also in active development unlike DBAN. ShredOS

You additionally need a burn software, in case you burn casually with double clicking on the iso report app,
it burns wrong. I had numerous burn packages however simplest CDBurnerXP worked for me.

Good afternoon
How can I prepare a USB pendrive to boot on a computer that only has UEFI boot mode (There is no way to configure it in legacy mode) And run DBAN?
Aye,
I found this article online http://www.it4nextgen.com/change-boot-order-uefi-bios/
Let me know if this helps you!

A UEFI system can boot only from a disk with a GPT partition style. So when you format the USB pendrive, select GPT instead of MBR.
