hi, now i'm getting the "org.apache.jasper.JasperException: Can't connect to X11 window server using ':0.0' as the value of the DISPLAY variable." error while trying to generate a pdf from a jsp. this message only appears when trying to generate a pdf, with an html, xml, o csv report ot seems to work ok. now, i've readed the thread about this same problem in the list, and upgraded my jdk from 1.4.0 to 1.4.1_03, but the problem persists. specifically, this problem arises if the user that launched tomcat isn't running the X11 server (i'm on linux), i. e.: if i've lanched tomcat, and i'm logged into X, then the pdf is generated, but if i'm not into X, then the exception is thrown. and of course i can't leave my X session runing permanently :) i've already overrided the askForParameters method as sugested in the docs, but didn't notice this beheavior until now that we are testing our app inside our lan. any ideas? thanks as always, and best regards. |
