You can google for file type jar to learn what a jar file is. I'm not sure why your Datavision.jar file is missing. It is probably best to re-download and re-install Datavision, and go from there. STEP #0: Save any Datavision reports you have already made that you need to keep, somewhere safe. STEP #1: Download the current release of DataVision from SourceForge. Assuming you are using Microsoft Windows, you should get the file http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/datavision/datavision/1.2.0/datavision-1.2.0-setup.exe STEP #2: This file datavision-1.2.0-setup.exe is a Windows installer for Datavision, so after downloading it, run it, and click all the buttons when asked by the installed (click No when asked about installing a particular JRE, since you already have a JRE installed which is probably newer than the one included). STEP #3: You should now have a full copy of DataVision in the C:\Program Files\Datavision\ directory on your machine. In there is a subdirectory called lib\ and in that subdirectory is a file called Datavision.jar . STEP #4: Run Datavision, and make sure it works for you as is. STEP #5: Make any changes or customizations necessary for your particular needs. STEP #6: Copy the saved Datavision reports you saved in Step #0 and try using them. If this does not work for you, please let us know exactly what you did, and at which step things failed, and tell us what happened. Jonathan |
