#89 Suggestion: Update All - Clear Field Value

Hello,

When using Update All I couldn't find a way to clear a field (string, reference etc.) for the selected items - it would be very helpful if there was a way to do so.

Otherwise if a user wants to clear a multi-select field or a string field for multiple items they would have to go one by one and manually do so - which can be a "pain", especially if dealing with multi-select fields.

I hope this can be considered for implementation.

Hi,

I wanted to test this but I am not sure how to go about it?

I am using 5.0 Beta II and if I select multiple items and select the "update all" in the context menu, how can I tell it that I want to clear a field or specific fields?

Hello,

I see this is closed but I am still unclear how to make the change work?

I did notice the "Clear" button but how does it works?

If I have two items selected with a text field filled. I right click and select "Update All" but how would I go about clearing that field?
Hitting the Clear button while selecting the field yields nothing, entering space same issue...

A clarification as to what was changed and how to achieve the task described at the original issue would be much appreciated.
