I found out that after I import a set of books w/ file name like "ISBN".* (e.x: 1234567890.chm) into datacrow, the title become 1234567890. That's good. But when I click Mass Book Update and enable add/update automatically if perfect match, there has nothing to update at all. I already double check those books have exactly one match. And those books is not in the new book tab, so the Mass Book Update really search something, but not updating. If I update individually + add/update automatically if perfect match, every field of book info is filled without selecting the only match and clicking update.
Besides, can you give more information about rename the filename of a book? Is it something like using easytag? e.x: %publisher_%title => Smith_How to datacrow.chm It is very useful when I want move the ebook into my usb thumbdrive which doesn't store my datacrow database.
Finally, if you are looking for new feature, may be you can try to help user to scan for isbn inside ebook. It is time-consuming work to find isbn for each ebook and change the filename to isbn.* Assume you use some library which enable you to read different format, just a fuzzy search and verify online plus a few line to rename file is done.
I hope there will be alpha/beta to fix the first problem ASAP. Lots of my ebook stuff at importing :( These function make datacrow extremely useful. Thanks a lot again.

Then, can we ask datacrow to load filename as isbn? ex: 1234567890.chm to isbn: 1234567890
Since most file's filename people had is not very accracy as isbn, it is meaningless to import all books and fill in isbn/title one by one. Or can we ask datacrow to copy all title field to each isbn field?
Thanks a lot.

I could do the check if the title is an ISBN number. In this case the ISBN10 and ISBN13 fields will be populated. This would resolve your issue and is easy to implement.
I'll include this for the next release (which will be done somewhere next week).
As for your feature request, this has been on the back of my mind for quite some time. I'll probably include this in the planned upgrade/overhaul of the file import functionality. But I make no promises on this just yet. In any case, if this will be implemented, it will not be possible for all types of documents.
Any input on what migth be good features for the file import are by the way always welcome.. :)
Cheers,
Robert Jan

Hello Jan.
First, it's a superb software here you have done.
But... in the same area as "ztwinsen " but, a bit different, I've a problem.
I've a library of books (around 3k books) who are referenced by title and author.
I've imported those books from a .csv file (and during the importation all accentued character are became small square) and when I want to make the mass update book, with alapage (french), it only said in the event log "the synchronisation has completed! :s
nothing is done !
sic....
could you explain me what I have to do ? the F1 help is not very prolixe for this part.
Thanks.
P.S. (any links with Johannes Diderik ?)

There is no fix for your situation; a perfect match will never occur as the title = the isbn number..
The isbn number is not a valid title for a book.
The file renamer is fully described in the help.
