looks like an excellent idea to me! I feel the urge to build one.
I've got some questions, though: is it possible to download the source, buy a GPS mouse and try the system out first in my desktop Debian box?
I just would like to first make sure I can make the software work, before I actually starting buying all the hardware...
If I am able to make it work on my desktop, I'll then buy some touchscreen ( like the Liliput 7" ) and see if I can make that to work. And if yes, then I'll buy the VIA EPIA M10000 and a DC-DC converter and build a mini-pc out of it and try mounting that in my car.
What do you think? Does this sound like a reasonable idea?
