Hey All, So I finally have free time on my hands and one of the first things I did was download the new binary. I completely removed darwine from my system to see how easy it was. Neat job with the bundle. I like it. However, I encountered a bug after copying the folder to my HD and running a sample wine app. Everything went fine but then the following errors: wine: wineprefixcreate failed while creating '/Users/connare/.wine'. wineserver: could not save registry branch to /Users/connare/.wine-V2k1Y0/system.reg : No such file or directory wineserver: could not save registry branch to /Users/connare/.wine-V2k1Y0/userdef.reg : No such file or directory wineserver: could not save registry branch to /Users/connare/.wine-V2k1Y0/user.reg : No such file or directory Wine cannot find the FreeType font library. To enable Wine to use TrueType fonts please install a version of FreeType greater than or equal to 2.0.5. http://www.freetype.org This was interesting because the ~/.wine directory was present. The fix was simply to run `./wine wineprefixcreate` located in the wine.bundle and then everything worked fine. Maybe a option in winehelper to execute this statement automatically? I'll look into that. Should I or someone add this to the faq? Secondly, besides the fact that college took up my life, after being out of the loop for so long I can't remember what was inline for the SDK. It seems that the binary is under control, does anyone remember though regarding the SDK? Regardless, hope all is well. Sanjay |
