It looks like a problem with preprocessor macro expansion, but its
just a guess ?

Look at list.h:58 it should read something the like:

I just test compiled dancer on FreeBSD 5.3 (sorry dont have access to
linux) with gcc 3.4.2 and it works fine.

config.log and maybe config.status might also give a better hint about
if something is completely off.
