libdaap 0.0.4 released

libdaap is an implementation of the Digital Audio Access Protocol, which is used within Apple's iTunes 4.0 music player to enable the sharing of music across a network. This release adds support for many new platforms, adds code that allows the library to be used for creating a DAAP server (as well as a client), and the code has been made much more efficient in general.

The purpose of the DAAP project is primarily to provide a library for the Digital Audio Access Protocol, or DAAP. This project aims to be the source of open documentation for the protocol and hopes to provide a solid, portable implementation of the specification.

libdaap 0.0.3 released

This release fixes a problem where the source could only be compiled on gcc-3 compilers. The code is now completely endian-safe, which means it can be used by little endian machines like x86 and Alpha as well as big endian architectures like PowerPC.

libdaap 0.0.1 released

libdaap is an implementation of the Digital Audio Access Protocol, which is used within Apple's iTunes 4.0 music player to enable the sharing of music across a network or the Internet. This is the first release and includes basic functionality.

The purpose of the DAAP project is primarily to provide a library for the Digital Audio Access Protocol, or DAAP. This project aims to be the source of documentation for the protocol (until official documentation is released, if it ever is) and hopes to provide a solid, portable implementation of the specification.
