A click from the main menu to 'Reports' or 'Login' takes
more than 30 seconds until the page is displayed.
I tried it from the server computer running CVStrac and
CVSNT and from other computers too.

My CVStracNT runs out of the box on its standard port
2040. A ViewCVS server running on the same machine
only takes around 5 seconds to show its next page.

We are evaluating, to use CVStrac as standard tracking
system for our software development department. If we
can't get rid of the problem, we have to look for another
tracking system.

Any hint is welcome. Thanx in advance.

There might be s.th. wrong with my installation, it looks
as follows:

Windows2000 Professional SP4 on an old Pentium with
128 MB RAM

CVSTracNT_1.1.5_20050703.exe installed

Cygwin 2.457.2.2

replaced CVStrac's cygwin_.dll/cygintl1_.dll by
cygwin1.dll/cygintl from my cygwin

replaced cvstrac_chs.exe by cvstrac_neu.exe to avoid
chinese web pages showing from time to time. (German
umlauts like dv| still work only after switching the
browser to Charset Westeurope)

CVSNT running on the same machine. Uses the pserver
protocol. I updated CVSNT to 2.5.02.2064, because
2.5.01.1976 forgot to put file names to the history file

By accident I first posted the problem to cvstrac, which
seems to be the WRONG PLACE:

I found the solution by my own:

    1) 128 MB RAM is not enough. With 192 MB it works fine for me
    2) Sometimes CVStracNT seems to reread the history file on the first request. Next request is fast.
    3) There seems to be a misspelling of the dll used by diff.
Try to start diff.exe from the CVStracNT directory on the server and give diff the copy it wants.

    Off topic - Another bug:

    1) German umlauts don't work
Text like - in html äöüÄÖÜß
should look like aouAOU with double quotes followed by a greek beta.

I didn't succeed in configuring CVStracNT to ISO8859-1, so I'll wait for a bug fix ;-)
