i'm unable to use cvsgrab since our corporate firewall
does not use traditional proxy servers (this is also the
case at my last employer so i know that many others
should also be affected by this).

i have no idea about how to do that, so i just hope that the
smart people who develop the httpClient library at Apache
will know how to do that...
