If you prefer distribution packages rather tha patched sources please have a look at http://cvsbookmarks.sourceforge.net/download.html where you can find deb (potato, woody) and rpm (thanks to Sjoerd Langkemper, who has also ported patch to cvs 1.11) packages as well, as patched sources. Have fun ;))
Finally... what we have inside? code cleanup, fixed 'cvs release' problem, and small feature which permits .cvsbookmarks file to have white spaces (e.g. 'key = value' and so on.). Download, patch, and have fun ;))
There is a lot of CVS patches around internet that solve many problems (ease of use, SSL with pserver method and so on), but it seems like they never make their way into main CVS development. Many projects however has started as a group of patches to already existing software (for example Apache started as group of patches to NCSA HTTPd). Do you think we need new CVS software under rapid development? Cast your votes by visiting survey section.
Initial version of this client-side only patch has been released. Details about patching are in file INSTALL, and some usage notes can be found in file README.bookmarks in patched cvs directory.
