#1 "modify" without resetting "config..."

I've added a Printer, given it a description, set it up
for A4 and a certain resolution.

Then I change my mind about the printer's
description, and I go to "Modify" the printer.

First, I change the Texts, and click continue.
Then I have to re-select the printer-type
(otherwise the description-changes won't become
effective). After that I have to select the configuration,
because Paper-size and resolution have been reset
to the defaults.

What I'd like is:

• commit just the description/location-fields. (without
  having to reselect the printer-type)
• be able to change both, resolution and paper-size in
  one go (one overall submit-button), or have a
  direct link from the submit result back to the config-
  page.

PS: I've both version 1.1.2 and the (almost) latest
version from CVS (march 8th) in use (on
different machines)
