Cube 2004_5_22 hangs. I am on a linux kernel 2.4.20-8,
DRI enabled (latest download from CVS). The game
hangs after I have conected to a server and then
pressing the menu option: Update server list from
master site.. or something like that. I have tried
disconnecting first and then selecting the option, but
the hang 'event' prevails. Other than that, the game
plays well. Hey the ability to multiedit (as in multiplayer)
the map is revolutionary! My suggestion: new better
models. At least more variety of models especially when
having a teamplay. TQ for the great game dude. OMG i
have taken a long page here... bye!

Yes same problem using kernel 2.6.5 everything works fine
    until I try
to update servers from master server it hangs, can only
    alt-ctrl-backspace because I don't find recognizeble cube
process to kill only linux_client but it can't be killed. I
deleted game made new download and installed again exactly
the same problem. Cube works fine on another box although.

same problem here on a winxp machine. I have played nicely
some months before, but now i cant "update server list"
anymore. I downloaded latest version but the problem still
    remains.
Have they changed servers or something? I even can't
connect to the official website.. that's odd..

It looks like all main servers (this includes master server and WWW server)
are down. Fortunately, I have a copy of latest list of available servers.
Here are the contents of my servers.cfg file:

// servers connected to are added here automatically

    addserver ns1.blazing.de
    addserver localhost
    addserver h-67-101-123-94.cmbrmaor.dynamic.covad.net
    addserver fragground.net
    addserver chello080110228156.116.11.vie.surfer.at
    addserver adsl-64-169-100-220.dsl.lsan03.pacbell.net
    addserver mail.billox.com
    addserver nbs-server.de
    addserver godzilla.uib.no
    addserver 216-229-77-140-cablemodem-sllv.fidnet.com
    addserver getstringfromobject.de
    addserver www.swine.de
    addserver tiggerswelt.net
    addserver sun-interference.net
    addserver nfz-server02.de

i have the same problem, but i think it might not be a bug...

www.cubeengine.com doesn't seem to be there anymore, and
I think it was the master server... so anybody know when it
    might be back up?

oddly, the site still responds to ping.

The same here on Suse 9.2, kernel 2.6.8-24. Game runs fine
as long as I do not choose any multiplayer menu item. The
game completely hangs and can only be killed with SIGKILL.
