Hi,

the configure script and make compilation doesnt find
OpenSSL.

[root@ctorrent-1.3.2]# ./configure
checking openssl/sha.h presence... no
checking for openssl/sha.h... no
configure: error: Error, OpenSSL header file sha.h not
found.

I copied the Makefile from CTorrent-1.3r1 and modified
it with the following

[root@ctorrent-1.3.2]# locate sha.h
/usr/local/ssl/include/openssl/sha.h
/usr/local/ssl/include/openssl/openssl/sha.h

[root@ctorrent-1.3.2]# cat Makefile
CFLAGS=-Wall -O2 -I/usr/local/ssl/include/openssl
-I/usr/local/ssl/include
LIBS=-lssl -L/lib

[root@ctorrent-1.3.2]# make
g++ -c -o btcontent.o btcontent.cpp
btcontent.cpp:11:25: openssl/sha.h: No such file or
directory

I downloaded version 1.3r1, and I had the same problem
when I made a 'make'.

the platform is RedHat 9
gcc (GCC) 3.2.2 20030222 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.2-5)

Now it seems I'm not the only one with this problem.
Several people on BSD and Red Hat have the same problem.

    The configure couldn't find SHA1_Init, because it is in the
    crypto library, not in crypt. I had to change the configure
    script.

    I've also done a
    ln -s /usr/local/openssl-0.9.7d/include/openssl
    /usr/include/openssl
    and after that it ran ok.
    It compiled fine on a linux box.

    On a cygwin installation I had to change crypt to crypto
    too, and I had a problem with Random_Init wich returns a
    long even if the function is defined as void.

    I have the same problem with 1.3.4.

    The platform is Mandrake 10.1 community
    gcc 3.4.2
