Hi Darren,
I'm sorry that you had to go through such a period, and I'm happy for
you that it seems to be getting better now. Don't worry too much about
your absence here, I'm sure people understand that sometimes "real life"
has to take a priority even without knowing the specifics.
As for the project, I would really recommend moving it to GitHub instead
of staying on SourceForge. As you probably know there are already
several forks of ctags there, and I'm sure that this move would motivate
people to contribute more to the project directly instead of
occasionally creating incompatible forks. There should also be ways to
convert the bugs from SourceForge's tracker to GitHub, and it's even
possible to access the repositories from Subversion if someone doesn't
want to switch.
I'm not sure if I would have time for the maintenance of parsers, but I
do have a few patches that I want to write soonish.
