Yes, I used it also when building and installing packages where I need
root access. In one plugins I su to root, meanwhile in the other I can
move files around with no need to chown them after the move.

Yes, that's always the problem. What do you think are the needs for the
"average" user. I think the best is to stuck on this.

I've changed it to "Vte plugin". I corrected also the fr.po file.

I put "Vte plugin" in French ("Vte plugin")  :)
