Hi all, just to notice, that the Windows port of cssed finally compiled and run, and should be ready for next release. Not great news, but at least we reached not just desktop independence but multi platform development. Now cssed runs on Linux, MacOsX and Win32. The code needed some changes and I'm not sure to commit them to CVS. To create an environment to make the changed sources compile is not easy and it's not portable. I mean, autotools didn't work in cygwin nor in msys, so I had to make a MSVC project that's not portable and only should be compiled with propietary tools ( Microsoft Visual C++ ). My doubt is: May I commit the changes to use only one source tree, or is better to upload a separated package with modified code for Windows ? In the other hand, I can also work to make it compile in msys with autotools and gcc. This way it could be built using only open source tools, but I'm not sure it deserve the effort. I don't know if I will maintain in sync the Windows version and main version ( Linux/MacOsX ). To work in windows is reeeeally boring ;) best regards --=20 Iago Rubio =20 - Home page * http://www.iagorubio.com=20 - Last project * http://cssed.sourceforge.net =20 - GPG Keyserv * pgp.rediris.es id=3D0x909BD4DD |
