I forget to mention I wrote some helper scripts to deal with the cssed's definition file. They're written in python - please don't blame me for my bad python coding as I wrote my first python line last friday ;) Do you think it's ok, or better translate it to C ? Michele, any problem with pygtk or python in MacOsX ? There's also a small lisp launcher to emacs. You've got it here http://cssed.sourceforge.net/extras.php Ah! .... I'd like also some feedback about some new contents on the site, specially about droping support for some OSs .... http://cssed.sourceforge.net/platforms.php ... and about the new legal notice ... http://cssed.sourceforge.net/distrib.php ..., someone think it's not ok ? Hi all, There's a new snapsot of cssed with some new features. http://cssed.sourceforge.net/cssed-0.2.0.tar.gz I should be great If anyone could test it and provide some feedback :) The new bits added are: 1) finished undo/redo Undo and redo should work now in any situation. I was failing badly when text was copied or draged into the editor window. 2) drag a file from other gtk app in the editor opens it. It hardly depends on the drag & drop signals implemented in the other application. Right now it works fine with Nautilus so it can be a helper for Gnome users. You can test the signals behaviour with evolution if you've got it installed: - If you drag a message from evo into cssed, evolution will make a copy in temp and pass the correct signals to cssed, so cssed will open the tmp file. - If you drag a link from a message, it will write down the file's uri into the cssed's editor as the signal passed is not the same. =09 Of course it don't works with apps with no drag & drop support, or no gtk support (KDE and xfroms ones as example). It's not a Gnome feature, but a Gtk one.=20 3) document scanner A new tab on the side bar where you can parse the current document and write a list - with a button's click - with the declaration's line numbers. A double click in the list, move the caret to that line I'd like some feedback on how can it be named, as I'm a little tired of "scanner" and "parser".=20 4) If current doc is empty and unnamed, use it when open a new doc. This will end with the "Untitled" window in cssed that you must always close by hand. I want go for the Beta in a couple of weeks so please if you think there's a feature that must be built into before the release, let me know that :) =20 Best regards. --=20 Iago Rubio http://www.iagorubio.com =20 GPGkey pgp.rediris.es id 0x909BD4DD fingerprint =3D D18A B950 5F03 BB9A DD89 AA75 FEDF 1978 909B D4DD ********** iago.rubio(AT)hispalinux.es ********** =20 -------------------------------------------------- |

Hi all in the list, First of all, please excuse my delay posting here but I've taken a small rest, and now I'm ready for the job to come ;) I know most of you - we're four in the list - have signed on my request, and you should be thinking why I ask you to do it if the list have no traffic, so sorry again, and I hope we could start a colaborative development from this moment. As all of you comunnicate with me but don't know who are the others interested in cssed's development, let me introduce you: * Alastair Porter, is the other developer in the team, with rights to commint to cvs, update thw web site and other tasks in the project. Said that it's clear that if SCO sue me and drop me to jail, he must give you access to the project ;) He's also a bluefish developer. * Michele Garoche, is the MacOsX package maintainer, French translator, and a great helper in a lot of other task. Also devotes his free time to the Fink project, being the French translation team manager. * Jeremy Guarini, is the Gentoo's package mantainer as you can see in the cssed's author page. * Drew Jorgenson, is a developer that volunteers to help in the development of the preview window, and I'd like to see him more involved in cssed's project ;) For those who have never seen more than four lines in english written by me, now you know my english is really poor. I hope you will be able to excuse it :) Best regards. --=20 Iago Rubio http://www.iagorubio.com =20 GPGkey pgp.rediris.es id 0x909BD4DD fingerprint =3D D18A B950 5F03 BB9A DD89 AA75 FEDF 1978 909B D4DD ********** iago.rubio(AT)hispalinux.es ********** =20 -------------------------------------------------- |
