Hello, I'm using csgl to create a concave polygon,I found GLUtesselator could do this and find a good example which is writen in c++,but when I want to translate it to c#,I stucked by some diferences between csgl and opengl(c++ ver.),I find out how to register CALLBACK method in csgl,but haven't find how to create a gluTessVertex,because of the parameters are quite different to C++version.And I didn't get any information about the parameters in csgl document,could anybody help me about this,a complete example or just some informations.That is all what I want,thank you very much! Hello, For several years, we have been using CSGL in a C# application without incident on a Windows XP system. Recently, I was asked to get the application working on a Windows Server 2008 system and got "The type initialize for CSGL.OSLib threw an exception." I am not sure of the cause. I note the following: * The server in question has C:\Winows\System32\opengl32.dll installed - but I don't know what version of OpenGL that is. The date on it is 1/19/2008; so it may be more recent than version 1.4 which I understand was used with the CSGL build we have used. Most of what I can find about CSGL predates that. * I don't know whether the version of NetFramwork used matters. The documentation says one needs .Net Framework - but I don't know if version 1.4.1 is hard-wired into your build. (Netframe 1.4.1 was present on the computers where the application worked before.) I have been told that Netframe 1.4 is not available for a Windows 2008 server. I have toyed with the idea of creating a special build of CSGL on the new server - but would like to know before I do whether that is needed (the point) and whether it is likely to succeed if I follow your instructions on the gcc and GNU make using MinGW. As you may gather, this kind of development is unfamiliar to me. I've had a look through the index, but cannot = find the glutIdleFunc, which I used in C to perform animations. I'm currently working on a project which uses C# and CsGL for visualizations. I have a cluster of points that are to be used to create a polygonal surface. This surface may have holes in it, so I am trying to use the gluTesselation objects. I am having a problem getting the tesselator to do anything at all. I am new to CsGL. I am have a frame and I have added a usercontrol to this frame I also have a panel on top this usercontrol. I would like to add some graphics onto this panel or on to a usercontrol. I am not sure how to do this using CsGL. I noticed that you have to create a top level frame and assign that frame to App. I do not want to add the graphics on to a top level Frame I would like to add it to a userconrtol. Hi, I'm really stuck on (probably) a very simple problem. I need to read my buffer so that I can pass it on to a special TV broadcast graphics card that will output the graphics on the fly. I want to use the glReadPixels command to save my buffer into a System.IntPtr object. So I use the following code (vb.net): '---------------------- Dim buf As Int32 =3D 0 Dim pbuf As New IntPtr(buf) glReadPixels(0, 0, 720, 576, GL_RGBA, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, pbuf) '---------------------- When it gets to glReadPixels I get a nullpointer exception. Now please don't refer me to the FAQ, because I have read it and I read about your workaround for passing a *void by using CSGL.Pointers.Ptypes. The problem is that vb.net will not just let me pass something like a PUInt32 to glReadPixels and I can't use Ctype() to convert it either. Hello! Can I use CsGL to load Tiff-Images with High Resolutions into a PictureBox? The Resolutions are above 10.000 x 10.000 and the normal PictureBox can't handle these sizes with GDI+ (causes long load times and slow image manipulation or most of the time a red X is shown in the PictureBox with a MemoryError). hello! i am currently using csgl and the csgl.basecode to write an opengl application using c# i have the class MyModel which inherits Model (just like the examples which use a class named NeHeLesson37) i'd like to have some global variables in my application (i want to be able to use them from other classes) i tried to put them in MyModel as public variables and intialize them in the overriden Initialize () but I get an exception when the window is created with the message "A Basecode Error Occurred While Creating The Application's Form" and then the stack trace why is that? how can I use some global variables in my program (which can be used in all classes)? thaks in advance |

Hi, When I run any of the examples that come with CsGL I see the framerate counter and everything, but the region of the GL-Control stays blank. Or = to be specfic: It is kind of transparent and I see the windows behind it. We= nn I drag another window over the GL-Control it is not redrawn and shows garbage. I saw the examples running on another machine. I have here: - Windows 2000 SP4 - .NET-Framework 1.1 - CsGL 1.41 - Sis 630 integrated graphics (Gericom Webboy laptop) - 933 Mhz P3 CPU - 248 MB RAM (-8 MB shared mem) The OpenGL-driver for the graphics card is installed, CounterStrike or qu= ake run in OpenGL mode. I can also compile my own OpenGL application, so the CsGL files seem to be in the right place. Of course my own apps also don'= t display anything. Any hints? Thanks in advance Johannes H=FCbner P.S. I am experimenting a vicious problem recently: I have an application which occasionally starts a new thread which instantiates a new csgl environment. This doesn't give any problem on one PC (WinXP, ATI Drivers). On another one (Win2000, ATI Drivers), though, at disposing time the following exception is thrown: Unhandled Exception: The program '[2428] WindowsApplication1.exe' has exited with code 0 (0x0). Guys, I am using the CsGL code for a Ant simulation/visualization project (Monte Carlo simulation), and i get how to inherit from the Model class, and build from there, but my question is this; I want to build basically a "Scene DOM", similar to a HTML DOM, and when i call .Draw() on the root obj, each child leaf/node will render itself (call glBegin(), glVertex3f(), etc) relative to its position in the SOM (scene obj model); now, I know that you can use the calls from inside obj instance that inherits from the Model class, but, waht about my leaf nodes? do they all have to inherit from that same Model class to use the OpenGL calls? (this doesnt make sense, since that would be a LOT of overhead for each leaf) --- is there a way to call the OGL functions statically or something, since OpenGL is a "state machine", and they dont really need to be class members? Also, Ive looked at the sourceforge site, and the main homepage, but i cant find any documentation for the classes / namespaces; is there any, and if so, could someone please provide a link? (Ive checked the newsgroups and the message board at sourceforge as well, but i could have missed it.) Thanks! Josh Patterson |
