#4 GAIM doesnot login into Yahoo!

Hi,

I am using gaim which I got from source forge. When try to use the yahoo plugin to login with my Yahoo! id
it gives error "faizhum was unable to sign on:Unable to Read".

The port I am using are :

scs.yahoo.com:5050

Can you please help me ?

change scs.yahoo.com to cs.yahoo.com.

gaim-0.59.7-1.i386.rpm on Red Hat 7.2 (2.4.7-10)

I tried changing the server to cs.yahoo.com. The debug
window shows that gaim changes the server back to
scs.yahoo.com when I attempt to connect. If I close gaim,
manually edit ~/.gaimrc, then start gaim, gaim changes the
setting back to scs.yahoo.com and rewrites ~/.gaimrc.

I even tried ediiting my /etc/hosts file to point
scs.yahoo.com to the IP address for cs.yahoo.com. Still the
same error message: "USERNAME has been signed off: Unable to
read"
