i'd start off by finding what was available at the point of runtime - try echoing the java.classpath variable to get an idea of what's on the stack. I'm still using 2.7.1 and I remember i had to add the jars to the ant folder (mine not CC's) - there was a discussion of where the proper location was for making sure the get extracted. Have you thought about doing a quick diff comparing the working versions to the non-working versions ? Even a permissions problem might be hiding somewhere (000?). it'd be on the stack but unexecutable. Krzysieq <krz...@ga...> 12/23/2008 11:49 AM Please respond to cru...@li... To cru...@li... cc Subject Re: [Cruisecontrol-user] Regexpmapper problem Thanks for the quick response . <diagnostics/> task shows I'm using the one that ships with cc. What is even more funny is that on startup, when cc lists the classpath entries, I can find the relevant jars. And yet, the classes don't get instantiated... Any ideas? Cheers, Chris 2008/12/23 <dav...@wa...> I'd check to see if you have the Ant optional package installed on the machine in question (http://ant.apache.org/manual/install.html) If it's installed, maybe it's losing the classpath reference. Are you using the Ant provided with CC or do you use your own? We use our own since we're still "stuck" on 1.6.5 Krzysieq <krz...@ga...> 12/23/2008 11:08 AM Please respond to cru...@li... To "CruiseControl Mailing List" <cru...@li...> cc Subject [Cruisecontrol-user] Regexpmapper problem Hi guys, I know it's almost Christmas, so Merry Christmas to all, but I'm hoping someone can help me out here or at least give a hint as to where to find what I'm doing wrong. I have an ant targert which uses regexpmapper. And I have a few cruisecontrol instances here and there on different machines (mostly debian linux, but also my own dev box with kubuntu). Unfortunately the versions of cc vary. Problem is this - one of them (the oldest chronologically, using cc 2.7.1) works fine, while the other one (2.7.3) does not. Here's the error message: Could not create type regexpmapper due to No supported regular expression matcher found: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.tools.ant.util.regexp.Jdk14RegexpMatcher First thought was that it's a bloody jar missing. I still think it's that, but I'm lost. I put ant-apache-regexp.jar nearly everywhere I can think of as a place where cc would look for it, and yet the result is still the same. Could somebody shed some light on this - where exactly and what jars should I put so I can get this task running? Tried doing it comparatively, but the older cc was built from sources, and now I'm using a binary distribution for 2.7.3, so it's not exactly the same. I will appreciate any inputs. Cheers & Merry Christmas All!
