Currently, the File Client sends data (files and folders) already pre-formatted as html code (with links, styles, etc.) to the Remote Server!

The client should just send the raw data (simple list of files and folders) in XML or JSON format and the server should do the formatting as needed. This would be more scalable in terms of design and future support for Java Applet / Java Client Browser (as against current Web Browser dependent html+ajax browser).
