To make it easier to build the server and then to run it more securely, here is a Containerfile for building a container image. There is also documentation for how to use it with podman. The Containerfile works with docker too.
I don't use Docker (or Linux), so I am going to need someone else to maintain, answer questions, and fix problems with this Containerfile. Are you willing to do this?
I can see this as being helpful to others who might be interested in running this in Docker; however, it is only useful if someone can keep it up to date and support it. I do not want to check anything into the main tree that cannot be supported.
Finally, a slight nitpick that your patch includes creating an empty file. Please double check your generated patch files :)
