- dm command 'Follow' which lets him see what a player
is doing, where he
is going, etc.

Some questiosn on this would be - is this just to let
the DM see the map, or should the DM also see the
commands the player issues (spells, says, etc)? If
just the map, this may actually not be that hard to do.

    it is desirable to allow the dm to see all commands used by
    the player, however some issues are raised with the privacy
    of "tells". Possibly add a option in the configuration, an
    additional command that is required for a dm to obtain
    player's "tells".

    Added a 'follow' command (trunk and branch), which makes a DM keep at 4 or less squares of a player (works better when hidden).

    Won't trace issued commands though.

    IMO, only private messages should be 'spied on', as other stuff isn't too hard to follow because it's visible.
