Found something like this while skiming over old saved
emails, before I delete them.
Based on the time, weather, and region; randomly place
creatures onto the world maps.
Factors that effect random placement of creatures:
Time:
When do the creatures sleep? When do they hunt?
Weather/Season:
I don't think fire elementals like snow. Takes
hibranation and migration into account.
Region:
Some monsters only live in one area. Additionaly, [to
protect newbies] monsters are prevented from coming too
close to towns and cities because of their respective
guards. Same goes for roads.

To my understanding, random encounters on the world map were
once implemented, but were removed for some reason. Anyone
still around who was around when that was implemented?
